Israeli Ambassador handed over books to PAHS
05 July 2012, Patan Academy of Health Sciences has been graced with the visit of His Excellency Hanan Goder-Goldberger, the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Nepal. His Excellency also handed over a collection the books to Prof. Dr. Rajesh Gangol, Dean of the School of medicine amidst a ceremony held at the auditorium of the Academy.
The books were sent from the Medical School for International Health (Soroka University Medical Center), Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Beer Sheva, Israel with the initiative of Professor Michael Alkan for the students of Patan Academy of Medical Science. Prof. Alkan is also an active member of the International Advisory Board and has been instrumental in promoting Patan Academy for Health Science in Israel since its inception in 2008.
During the Ceremony, Prof. Dr. Gangol expressed his appreciation for the ongoing cooperation between the two hospitals and the universities. He hopes that this cooperation will further develop in the future.
Also the Ambassador Goder-Goldberger expressed his satisfaction at the ongoing cooperation between the two institutions and said that the Embassy will be happy to see such projects in the future too. His excellency also took a short tour of the Academy during the visit.
