Prof. Dr. Sangeeta Bhandary from the position of Vice Chancellor of PAHS by the Chancellor of the Academy Rt. Honorable Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattrai  after the emergency senate held on date 11 Magh 2069 which also unveiled the report from the three-member probe committee formed by the chancellor under the chairmanship of the National Planning Commission (NPC) Dr Shib Kumar Rai which included the Health Secretary Dr. Praveen Mishra and Education Secretary Mr Suresh Man Shrestha. The probe committee was formed after seven of the senate members lodged complain against Dr Bhandary for being ineligible for the position and henceforth according to the PAHS Act, Dr Bhandary has been suspended from the position.

Also a new search committee has been formed by the Rt Honbl’e PM as the Chancellor for the recommendation for the position of Vice Chancellor which has fallen vacant after suspension of Dr Bhandary. The committee has Dr Shib Kumar Rai, member of National Planning  Commission and Mr Som Lal Subedi, Education Secretary under the chairmanship of Honb’le Minister of Health and Population Mr. Rajendra Mahato, Pro-chancellor of the Academy.
